During winter weather conditions, trash collection may be affected by severe cold, icy roads, or other hazardous conditions. We prioritize the safety of our community and collection teams and appreciate your understanding during these times.
Service Adjustments: Garbage collection will proceed as road conditions allow.
Stay Informed: We will post updates on delays or changes to the schedule on our social media channels and through the Text My Gov service. Text "Marion" to 91896 to sign up for the City of Marion updates.

🚨 UPDATE: Weekend Closure for I-55 CANCELLED 🚨
🚧 ROAD WORK AHEAD 🚧 The Tennessee Department of Transportation (@my_tdot) contract crews will be closing the I-55 Mississippi River Bridge this weekend to continue construction activities on the I-55 and Crump interchange. All work is weather-dependent. The upcoming weekend closure is the sixth closure of eight allowed in the contract.
📆 Friday, December 13, 8:00 pm through Monday, December 16, 6:00 am
🛑 I-55 SB will be closed at Bridgeport Road in Arkansas
🛑 I-55 NB will be closed at South Parkway* in Tennessee
*Local traffic will be allowed to continue to the McLemore exit
🛑Crump Boulevard WB will be closed
A detour will be posted.

Sanitation routes will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, so employees can enjoy the holiday with their families and friends. Trash pick-up will resume on Thursday, December 26. If your cans are not emptied on Thursday or Friday, please leave them on the curb, and the trucks will pick up the following week.

Please note the date change for the December City Council meeting. It will be on Thursday, December 19, at 6:00 PM at the District Court. The meeting is open to the public.

Recycling is on hold due to an unforeseen equipment issue. Recycle pickup will be resumed after the holiday trash pickup is back on the regular schedule.

Trash routes will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Please note that the routes closed on Thursday and Friday will be collected on Monday and Tuesday of the following week.

Due to continuous damage to the leaf pick-up machine, the City Council voted to require all leaves to be bagged for collection.
Please bag your leaves and place them at the curb on your regular trash pickup day.
This new policy helps streamline leaf collection. Thank you for your cooperation!

Movie Night on the Square - The GRINCH! has been RESCHEDULED for next FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15th due to RAIN 🌧️🍿🎥
The ground is wet and there is too much rain in the forecast for tomorrow for us to keep the event on its original date. The makeup date for this event will be next FRIDAY, NOV 15th @ 6p.

Exciting News for Marion, West Memphis, and Crittenden County!
We are proud to announce a major step forward in improving public safety in our communities. West Memphis, Marion, and Crittenden County are officially merging their Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) to create a unified, efficient emergency response system.
This merger means faster response times, better coordination between emergency services, and greater safety for everyone in our region. By working together as one, we are making sure that every 911 call is handled quickly and effectively, no matter where you are in Crittenden County.
