CDI brings together economic developers and community leaders from across the region to learn how to build stronger, more resilient communities. Over three years, participants gain real-world tools to boost local economies, strengthen partnerships, and support long-term growth.
“The relationships and strategies I’ve gained through CDI have been game-changers for how we approach growth in Marion,” said Beth Wilson. “This program has helped me think even more boldly about how to connect people, ideas, and opportunities to shape our city’s future.”
Founded in 1987, CDI has become a national model for community and economic development training, with sessions now held in several states and overseen by the Community Development Council.

We’ve received a few questions and want to provide some helpful information:
🏡 The recent property value notices were sent by the Crittenden County Assessor’s Office, not the City of Marion.
💰 The Crittenden County Assessor's office determines the fair market value of all property in Crittenden County and maintains all of the county's parcel records.
🏛️ Additionally, the Sultana Disaster Museum is a separate nonprofit organization. It is not operated or funded by the City of Marion.
We’re always happy to help clarify and keep our residents informed. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
